Background
Business Sorted is owned and managed by Martin Langdon and Neil Kinnerly who between them have many years experience of making a living in the SME sector. We know from first hand experience that maintaining a steady flow of enquiries is a difficult, time consuming and potentially expensive exercise and we started Business Sorted to provide small businesses with the tools they need to generate profitable sales with the minimum of effort so they can concentrate on running the business rather than running themselves into the ground. Websites
Every business should have one and yet it's all to easy to end up with a poorly designed site that does nothing but harm to your business. Whatever else you do please don't let your 18 year old nephew who's dabbled a bit in computers design and build a site for you. No doubt there will be the odd exception but 99% of businesses end up with an amateurish looking site that guess what? - makes them look amateurish! This isn't to say that every business needs a huge over-designed site that costs a fortune. Small is often beautiful and we recommend that most of our clients start small and build from there.

What a minefield! There's no such thing as certainty when it comes to advertising your business. Basically the best advice we can give is to try lots of different things and if you find something that works then do more of it until it stops working then try something else. What does tend to work really well for us is on-line advertising. Generally speaking it costs a fraction of the price of traditional media, it's highly flexible and if you know what you are doing it can be a silver bullet for your business.
